Fran Kane (Vernadette)
Fran is excited to be making her SALT debut. She has acted and directed for parts of four decades in theaters from NNJ to DE. Some favorite roles include Rita in “Educating Rita”, Ann in “6 RMS RV VU”, Hedy LaRue in “How To Succeed In Business…”, Mrs. Terrance in “Night Must Fall”, Edith in “Never Too Late”, M,Lynn and Ouiser in different productions of “Steel Magnolias”, Dottie in “Noises Off”, Diana in “California Suite”, and Ida Straus in “Titanic, The Musical”. She is a retired clinical psychologist who credits her husband, Kevin, her daughter, Jillian, and her many pets for putting up with her bouts of insanity commonly called acting. Thanks to the wonderful production staff, cast and crew for making this so much fun.
Lauren LeBlanc (Jeri Neal McFeeley)
Lauren is so happy to be back performing with SALT, following her debut as Cinderella in Into The Woods. Favorite performances include The Sound of Music (Maria), Legally Blonde (Paulette), Urinetown (Hope), and W;t (Sue Monahan). In Philly, she has worked with Act II Playhouse, Montgomery Theatre, and Resident Theatre Company. Lauren studied voice and acting on scholarship at Texas State University and received her Masters in Teaching from the University of Louisville. Maria Jarrell (Sheree)
This is Maria's first show with SALT, but she has performed in many shows at many local theaters. Shows she's performed in are Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (Abridged), Proof, Macbeth, The Winter's Tale, A Piece of My Heart, Twelfth Night,As You Like It, The Heiress, Rumors, Our Town, The Comedy of Errors, and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. She thanks her amazing husband, Eric for his love and support, and her daughter, Ellie, who is her proudest production of all!
Carolyn Nelson (Lexie Richards)
Carolyn is thrilled to be back in her second production at SALT Performing Arts. In May, she had so much fun as Clairee in Steel Magnolias, she couldn’t wait to dive back into the pool with the Dixie Swim Club! Carolyn brings a wide variety of performing experience to her roles, having done everything from studio back-up singing in Los Angeles to commercials and daytime drama work in New York and tours of 75 cities in between as part of a gospel ensemble. The stage is Carolyn’s first love and she is so grateful to be a part of the SALT family and this very talented cast and crew.
Bev Smith (Dinah)
Bev is excited to be making her debut at SALT Although she is new to this stage she has been busy at other area theaters. Most recently she appeared this December in Barley Sheaf’s production of “Inspecting Carol” with Fran. She recently appeared at Forge Theater in “Cemetery Club” and was thrilled to win the best acting award for her role of Lucille. Also at Forge she played New Jersey housewife Marion Hollander in “Don’t Drink the Water” Other performances at Forge include the female version of Odd Couple . “Moon Over Buffalo, Sylvia..The Women and The Heiress(both with Maria) and Grass Harp among others.) .. Bev has also appeared in shows at Playcrafters in Skippack her favorite being “Red Herring”. Bev is also an active member of Footlighters Theater , Berwyn where she often performs most recently in “Plaza Suite” She is Creator and Director of their Summer Drama Workshop as well as serving on their Board. Occasionally as a member of a Murder Mystery Troupe she gets “killed” during dinner.. Many thanks to the cast and crew for such a fun time staging this wonderful show. Let’s all raise a glass!~
Elizabeth Hennessey | Director
While this is Elizabeth's first try at directing, she is no stranger to the stage. With over 25 years of acting experience, she has covered everything from Comedy, Drama, Shakespeare and Musical Theatre. Recent roles include teel Magnolias (Shelby) at SALT Performing Arts, Proof (Catherine), Titanic (Kate McGowan), Accomplice (Janet) at Barley Sheaf Players, The Children's Hour (Karen Wright), Rabbit Hole (Izzy) at Playcrafters of Skippack, Dracula (Lucy Seward) and Miracle on 34th Street (Doris Walker) at Steel River Playhouse in Pottstown. She has also been a featured soloist with the Pottstown Symphony Orchestra and sang the National Anthem for the Reading Phillies. She received a Minor in Theatre from Villanova University after studying under Marina Carr, Ireland's premier female playwright, and interning at the Bedlam Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland for the Festival Fringe.
Bryan McVeigh | Assistant Director
This is Bryan’s first SALT production, but he has been seen on and off-stage many times at several different area theaters. Directorial credits include: Proof, “8”, and David Mamet Earns a Merit Badge for Barley Sheaf Players in Lionville and Agnes of God and Laundry and Bourbon for Lehigh University. Favorite acting roles include: Rabbit Hole (Howie), Boeing-Boeing (Robert), Lend Me a Tenor (Max), Much Ado About Nothing (Benedick), Rumors (Lenny), The Boys Next Door (Arnold), and Old Times (Deeley). Bryan would like to thank Pamela and Aidan for allowing him to spend all this time with these (mildly) crazy women.
